Bulgaria is trying to build a modern rail and road infrastructure along the east-west axis, declared the Bulgarian Transport Minister Rossen Scheljaskow at the Silk Road Forum in Tbilisi. According to Scheljaskow, this will create the necessary conditions for rapid movement of people and goods in view of the increasing volume of transport between Asia and Europe. Bulgaria maintains lively contacts with the states along the Silk Road – China, Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan, according to Transport Minister Rossen Scheljaskow.
